What is SuperKlar?
SuperKlar is a special powerful blend of advanced 100% safe aluminium chloride based polymers (PAC). These quickly and effectively remove all the suspended solids, turbidity and colour from pool or spa water that cannot be removed by a sand filter alone. It is far superior and much safer than cheap aluminium sulphate alternatives.

Great Price and Value
Compare our prices - One packet of SuperKlar makes 4 litres of concentrated liquid solution. Our competitors sell their inferior solutions for £20/litre plus it costs a lot to ship since it is mainly water. We don't sell water - only the powdered active ingredients to treat it!
How to Use SuperKlar
Mix the powder into an approximate 10% solution with warm water and put into a clearly marked plastic bottle - label as acidic since the pH is 4 and is a weak acid (pKa = 4.7) similar to diluted lemon juice or vinegar. Shake the bottle and wait for 10-15 mins to dissolve. Then it is ready for use.
How to do Pool Shock Treatment:
How to Treat Green Pool Colour
Add algicide treatment first before using SuperKlar at the shock treatment dosage. The green is due to algae growing in your pool so it needs to be killed first using an algicide. Leave the algicide to do it's job first for the recommended time before moving to use SuperKlar. The flocs formed by SuperKlar will pull any remaining green colour out with them.
How to do Pool Prevention, Polishing & Maintenance
Add 100ml per 50m3 which will continue to work with the sand filter in normal operation for the next 7 days. Watch the back-pressure on the sand filter as it may well need back-washing.
How to Treat Spas and Hot-Tubs
Use 1-2 tablespoons (20-40 ml) of solution every week for a 1,000 litre tub for maintenance or 4 times this amount for a shock treatment. If the tub is being used more or you notice the water is not so clear then simply add a bit more. If your tub is larger then simply scale up the amount used.
As SuperKlar is completely safe there is no need to worry about adding too much. When diluted in the pool it is perfectly safe to swim and harmless if some pool water is digested with SuperKlar in as it is used for drinking water treatment.
Ensure that you remove and wash the tub filters 1-2 times per week as they will get soiled quicker due to the SuperKlar improving their effectiveness. So one small packet should last you 6 months or more for polishing, depending on use.
- Do not mix with other products at same time.
- Rinse cartridge filters regularly whilst using SuperKlar.
- Do not use with diatomite filters.
- Clearly label any bottles of solution.
SuperKlar Solution Safety
The 10% solution is weakly acidic with a pH of 4 similar to lemon juice or vinegar solutions. It will slowly corrode metal so don't keep it in a metal container. It is not dangerous, toxic or flammable but should not be ingested. If spilt then mop-up or wipe-off the skin and wash with water. If swallowed, drink plenty of water.
SuperKlar Powder Safety & Handling
The powder is non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable. However avoid breathing the powder or contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Don't wear contact lenses and use in a well-ventilated place. If spilt, then vacuum, sweep or remove in a dry manner and only use water after this, using soap and water to remove from skin.
